Nutritional Therapy Overview

Nutritional Therapy is a personalized and evidence-based approach to health relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking to enhance their health and well-being. As your Nutritional Therapist, I use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to your symptoms and health concerns.

Standards of professional practice in Nutritional Therapy are governed by the CNHC Code of Conduct and the British Association for Nutritional and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), the professional body for Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioners.

Not a Substitute for Medical Advice

I will never ask you to discontinue your medication. Any changes to your prescribed medication must be undertaken with your doctor.

Standards of professional practice in Nutritional Therapy are governed by the CNHC Code of Conduct and the British Association for Nutritional and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), the professional body for Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioners.

Your Responsibilities

  • It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information about your medical history, medications, allergies, and lifestyle habits. This information is essential to tailor the Nutritional Therapy programme to your needs. Additionally, it is important to keep Goody Moody Health updated with any changes to your medications or medical diagnoses, as these may impact your treatment plan.

  • You give permission for Goody Moody Health to contact your GP regarding any agreed aspects of your case. Your practitioner will discuss this with you before contacting your GP.
  • You consent to Goody Moody Health sharing information with your GP, doctors, psychiatrist (where applicable), or healthcare provider about your health and any other relevant information you provide to aid in your care.
  • If you are receiving treatment from your GP or any other medical provider, you should inform them about any nutritional protocols provided by Goody Moody Health to address any possible reactions between your prescribed medication and the nutritional programme.
  • If you are unclear about any agreed Nutritional Therapy, including food supplements, you should contact Goody Moody Health promptly for clarification.
  • If you suspect that any supplement or food may be causing a negative reaction, stop it immediately. You shall report this to me without delay, recording the date when the reaction started with a timeline of when the supplement(s) was started. Always consider other factors which may also include, but are not limited to, environment, changes in lifestyle, illness, and recent trauma. I will discuss this with you at your next appointment; in some situations, I may get back to you on the next clinic day.
